In the evening, McGill University and the Schulich School of Music invite OPERA America’s Ambassadors for a cocktail dînatoire in the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building. Opened in 2005, this state-of-the-art facility houses the symphonic-sized Music Multimedia Room, the Wirth Opera Studio, the Marvin Duchow Music Library and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology, as well as performance halls and classrooms. Senior members of the University community and the School’s Faculty Advisory Board will join us for food, drinks and tours of Canada’s leading university-based music school. The event is followed by the world premiere of The Trials of Patricia Isasa (8:00 p.m. – 10:15 p.m.) by Montréal’s leading new works producer, Chants Libres.

Transportation is provided from the conference hotel to McGill University and the Chants Libres performance. Open to OPERA America Ambassadors. Contact Dan Cooperman, director of development, at 646.699.5266 or DCooperman@operaamerica.org for more information.
